The weather is warmer, the park is getting busier, and the weeks are starting to fly by.
Two weekends ago, Craig and I went to check out the flowers at Hite’s Cove. It was a perfectly warm and sunshiny day.
And, in other big news, I also paid off my car last weekend. Yay! It is such a relief to have that debt off my shoulders! And… I’m officially debt free! :D
With getting closer and closer to the summer season, lots of people – returning and new – are showing up in the park. It’s been great getting to reconnect with some of my Tuolumne cohorts, especially Ryan, Corrie, and Katie. Drinking local microbrew is always better with great friends. And my Conservancy coworkers are starting to show up too. Even though we have more men on our staff this summer, the ladies still overwhelm. So much so that we decided to have a ladies night this past weekend, eating awesome Mexican fare, hanging out in historic Foresta, drinking wine from Kylie’s parents’ vineyard, and watching Pride and Prejudice (you can probably guess that I was most excited about that last one – one of my favorite movies!). I also got to check out Little Nellie Falls in Foresta. Pictures coming soon.
I thought I would be totally intimidated by the busy summer and having to manage a larger seasonal staff and all that. But the closer we get and the more we get into it, really, I’m just getting more and more excited. And I’m not even drinking coffee these days!
