Happy Christmas!

It’s Christmas Day in Yosemite Valley. It’s cold and crisp here with absolutely no snow on the Valley floor. And Kirsten and I made an awesome breakfast spread for those of us working today:

I’m in the museum today enjoying a second round of coffee and gingerbread biscotti while working on a few New Year’s presents – with Mom’s visit and just the general busyness of the season, I’ve decided to send out NY presents instead of Christmas ones to allow me to dedicate the time I want for the people I love. :)

Speaking of Mom’s visit, I’d say it was a huge success. She got to relax and I got to show off my home. She’s safely home in Dallas enjoying Christmas with the rest of my family and already thinking about a summer trip out to visit when the Tuolumne River isn’t frozen over. We took many many pictures on our adventures in San Francisco, El Portal, Yosemite Valley, Tuolumne Meadows, and Lee Vining. I’ll post a few highlights of her pre-Christmas visit soon…
