Coyotes and Clouds and Cold

Driving back home to the Valley from Fresno (I love that Yosemite Valley is my home), I saw a couple of coyotes and some awesome low-lying clouds.

The pair of coyotes actually made me sad. The closer one actually walked right up to my window when I stopped. That means that park visitors have been feeding him and he’s losing his fear of humans. Which means that he’s becoming less wild and potentially aggressive towards humans. Note to visitors: DON’T FEED THE WILDLIFE!!

On the other hand, the low-lying clouds were absolutely ineffably brilliant.

Oh yeah, and it snowed 4 inches overnight in the Valley. We didn’t get our predicted 3 to 5 inches today, but I’m hopeful that we’ll get some overnight. And maybe – just maybe – it’ll be cold enough for the heavy rain predicted for tomorrow will be snow. Think cold thoughts!
